Just answered this somewhere else, so here it is again!
      Good question though, OmegaGalaxy!

If I wasn’t in science, I would definitely be in the renewable energy and smart grid business.
It’s all about how you can use solar panels and wind farms to create local energy markets, so that people who own houses could make and sell energy to each other, rather than having to buy from a big energy company.
It’s called “democratisation”, making something owned by everybody. I’m a total ecowarrior hippie, but I also love tech and business, so that’d be perfect for me.

My friends say I would probably be an evil mastermind though

If I didn’t work in science I’d be Mary Berry (I love her) or a mermaid. Or a mix of both – Mary Bermaid – and I’d be on the Great British HAKE off (mermaid / fish version of GBBO)

Unless you mean literally? If I wasn’t at work I’d be in the hammock in my garden. Or at the beach 🙂
