      Depending on how you measure it it’s Mount Everest or Chimborazo. Mount Everest is the tallest above sea level (8850 metres). But because the earth isn’t totally spherical, it bulges a bit in the middle, Chimborazo is pretty much bang on the middle of this bulgiest bit so it’s the one furthest from the centre of the Earth. It’s about 6384 km from the centre of the earth, and Everest is about 6382km from it.

      Then again, if you’re measuring if from the seabed, Mount Kea is the tallest, because although it’s only 10 000 metres above sea level, there’s another 6000 metres of it under the water.

      So basically, if you want to climb the highest mountain in the world, you’d need to do all three just to be sure you’d got the right one 🤣
